Privacy Policy

Clew is built so that your schedule stays with you. This page explains what the planner can see, where it keeps it, and how to remove it.
What the planner accesses
When you sign in with Google, you are asked to allow:
- Your basic profile: your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID, so the planner can show who is signed in and keep each account’s data separate.
- Your calendars, read-only: the events on the calendars you choose to sync.
- Your Google Tasks, read-only: the tasks on the lists you choose to sync.
The planner cannot create, change or delete anything in your Google account.
Where your data is kept
Your synced events and tasks, the tasks and events you add, and your settings are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device. They are not sent to or stored on our servers. The planner talks to Google directly from your browser.
The sign-in token Google gives the planner is kept in memory only while the tab is open. It is never saved to your device or sent anywhere except Google.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, rent or share your data.
- We don’t show ads or use advertising or analytics trackers.
- We don’t use your Google data for anything except showing it to you in the planner.
The planner’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, your name, email address and message are delivered by email to the planner’s maintainer using the email service Resend. They are used only to reply to you and are not added to any mailing list.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any website host, Vercel may briefly log technical details of requests, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.
Removing your data
- In the planner, open your account menu and choose Sign out and remove my data from this device. This deletes everything the planner stored in that browser.
- Remove the planner’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
- To have a contact-form message deleted, ask through the contact form or by email.
Children
The planner is meant for students who are old enough to have their own Google account. If you are under 18, please check with a parent or guardian before using it. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
